Business partnership with leading used-car exporter SBT

HAKKI AFRICA Inc. (Headquarters: Kamakura, Kanagawa; Representative Director: Reiji Kobayashi), which provides microfinance specialized in business used-car purchases via its Nairobi subsidiary, entered a business partnership in April 2021 with SBT Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama; Representative Director: Taro Inami), one of the largest Japanese vehicle exporters to Africa, and received funding support.

SBT operates more than 30 locations worldwide and exports and sells new and used Japanese vehicles. Group revenue reached ¥84.6 billion in FY2018. In Africa it operates in eight countries including Kenya, covering a wide range of export processes with seamless local support.

Through this partnership with a highly complementary player, HAKKI expects to import quality used cars more consistently and deliver greater value to customers.
